Amsu joined our cat family in August 2009 at just thirteen weeks of age. His sire is USA import Bacamdit's Abydos and his dam is Santillo Tameri. His pedigree boasts a total of 14 USA Champions and Grand Champions.

We named him Amsu-Ra after Amsu, one of the ancient gods of Egypt, the personification of reproduction, and Ra, in Egyptian mythology the father of creation. We felt this combination was particularly apt for a stud cat!

Amsu brings some new bloodlines to the Egyptian Mau breed here in the South of England. We are indebted to Morag Lang of Pollystar Cats in Scotland for allowing him to come and live with us and to hopefully playing a significant role in the future development and improvement of the breed.

Amsu attended his first show in October 2009. At the Felis Britannica (FIFe) show at Edenbridge he had a wonderful day winning Best in Show Kitten! The following month he repeated this achievement at the invitation only FIFe International Winners Show 2009, yet again achieving Best in Show Kitten! He finished the year off in style by winning the Felis Britannica (FIFe) Cat of the Year Awards 2009 Best Egyptian Mau Kitten and the Garden of England Cat Club Cat of the Year Awards 2009 Best Egyptian Mau.

Under GCCF he has won 1 Champion Certificate, 4 Firsts and 2 Best of Breed.

Under TICA he achieved the award of Best Egyptian Mau Kitten of the Year Western Europe Region for 2009/10! In addition he has also been awarded 1 Speciality Final plus 14 Best of Breed.

In June 2011 we decided to take an extended break from breeding and Amsu went to live with Jackie Folland of Ashidah Egyptian Maus in Essex where he will continue siring beautiful kittens.
